Returns & Refunds Policy
Reescu ("we," "our," or "us") operates as an escrow payment platform to facilitate secure transactions between freelancers and clients. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be processed.
1. General Refund Rules
Refunds are processed under specific conditions to ensure fairness for both clients and freelancers. Clients may request a refund only if the freelancer fails to deliver work as agreed. Such requests must be raised within 7 days of the milestone deadline. Freelancers may seek partial or full refunds if the client breaches the contract, such as by making unreasonable scope changes after agreement.
2. Refund Process
When a dispute is raised, Reescu’s arbitration team reviews the case within 48 hours. If the client’s claim is validated, a full refund is processed, including a reversal of the 1% platform fee. If the freelancer’s position is upheld, funds are released to them as per the agreed terms.
3. Eligible Scenarios for Refunds
Refunds are granted in the following cases:
Undelivered Work: The freelancer fails to submit work by the deadline—100% refund to the client.
Poor Quality Work: The arbitrator assesses the issue and may approve a partial refund based on the discrepancy.
Duplicate Payment: If a client accidentally pays twice, the excess amount is refunded automatically.
4. Non-Refundable Cases
Certain payments are non-refundable, including:
Arbitration fees (₹499), unless the freelancer is found at fault.
Payments already released to freelancers upon client approval.
5. Processing Refunds
Refunds are deducted from the freelancer’s pending earnings or escrow balance and processed back to the original payment method (UPI, card, or bank transfer) within 3-5 business days after verification.
6. Cancellations
Clients may cancel a transaction before payment without penalty. Once payment is made, cancellations are treated as refund requests and require arbitration.
7. GST Implications
Refunded amounts exclude GST, which is adjusted via credit notes for accounting compliance.
